Many people find their Realtor® by chance. They walk into an office or call on some advertising they saw and WHAM, they got themselves a Realtor®. Sometimes things work out perfectly and, unfortunately, sometimes the experience turns into a nightmare.
After polling some FSBO's (folks selling their own homes), I found that the majority of these people have had a bad previous experience leaving them to believe it would be in their best interest to sell their homes themselves. The most common complaint was POOR COMMUNICATION. Whether is was unreturned calls (#1 ) or lack of updates (not keeping the customer informed of the progress), customers were left feeling that no one was there for them during one of the most important - and expensive - decisions of their lives.
My suggestion is this: Don't put your trust in someone who hasn't earned it! Interview agents, test them, check them out thoroughly! Ask for references. Ask what they can and will do for you! If an Agent can't or won't comply, then ask yourself this "IS THIS THE AGENT FOR ME?" Don't enter into a relationship blindly.
Century 21 Corporate Office sends out questionnaires to all of our clients after a transaction closes. It's called the QUALITY SERVICE SURVEY. It takes only minutes to complete and allows a space for comments, should you wish to ad your own verbage.
Here is what a few folks have said:
"My house was sold with unexpected quickness. I only had it on the market for two months. Nira was very helpful to me as I live out of state. She kept in constant touch and answered my questions quickly. She even went beyond my expectations and helped in doing other things which would have required me to leave my job and have to fly down at additional expense to do these tasks. My hats off to Nira!"
